Junk Removal Pricing
HOW OUR PRICING WORKS — AND WHY THERE ARE NO SURPRISES
We price junk removal by how much space your items take up in the truck. You get a firm price in person before anything is loaded, and that price covers the labor, the loading and the disposal. If the price is not right for you, you are under no obligation.
WHAT ACTUALLY DETERMINES YOUR PRICE
Volume First, Then the Details
We Price by the Space It Takes Up
The single biggest factor is volume — how much of the truck bed your items fill. A few bags of garage clutter occupy a small fraction of a load. A whole bedroom set, or a shed that has to come apart, occupies a great deal more. Pricing this way means you pay for the room your junk actually takes rather than a flat fee that ignores the size of the job.
It is also why we do not quote a firm number over the phone. We are happy to give you a rough idea from a description, but the honest number comes from someone standing in front of the pile.
You See the Price Before Anything Moves
Our crew arrives inside a two-hour window, with a courtesy call about thirty minutes ahead. They look at what is going, account for the access and the materials, and give you a firm price on the spot.
You decide at that point. If you say no, the crew leaves and there is no charge for coming out. If you say yes, the price you were quoted is the price you pay — the estimate does not move once the work starts.
What the Price Already Covers
The number you are quoted is the number you pay. It is not a labor rate with disposal added on afterwards. Included in every job:
- All the lifting and carrying — out of the basement, down the stairs, across the yard. You do not need to move anything to the kerb.
- Disassembly where it is needed — bed frames, shelving, sheds and play sets taken apart as part of the job.
- Loading and transport — our truck, our fuel, our time.
- Disposal and recycling fees — what the transfer station or recycler charges is already inside your quote.
- Clean-up — we sweep the space before we leave.
We are licensed and insured, so your property is covered while we are working in it.

Six Things That Move a Price
Volume
How much of the truck your items fill. This is the primary factor on almost every job, and it is why an accurate look beats a phone guess.
Weight and Density
Some loads are small but extremely heavy — concrete, brick, soil, roofing shingles. Dense material costs more to tip than its size suggests.
Access and Labour
A garage you can back a truck up to is a different job from a third-floor walk-up, a long carry across a lawn, or a driveway that will not take a truck.
Material Type
Certain items carry a separate fee set by the disposal facility rather than by us — mattresses and appliances containing refrigerant are the common ones. We tell you when one applies.
Timing
Same-day and urgent pickups are priced differently from a job booked into the ordinary schedule. Booking ahead is the cheaper route when you have the time.
What Can Be Diverted
Items we can donate or recycle avoid landfill tipping charges, which works in your favour. It is one reason we sort rather than tip everything.
Junk Removal Pricing Questions
The questions we are asked most often about how a job is priced.
There is no single figure, because the job is priced on how much space your items take up in the truck rather than on a fixed rate. A single item and a full property clear-out are very different loads. What we can promise is the process: a free estimate, a firm price in person before anything is loaded, and no charge if you decide not to go ahead.
By the load. We price on volume — the share of the truck your items occupy — not on a per-item list. That usually works out better for customers with several bulky things going at once, because a sofa and a mattress travelling together cost less than the two priced separately would. Mattress removal on its own is priced the same way, by the space it takes in the truck.
The estimate is free and you are not committed. Our crew looks at the job, gives you a firm price, and you decide there and then. If the answer is no, they leave and there is nothing to pay for the visit.
Three reasons. Weight — concrete, soil and shingles cost far more to dispose of than their size suggests. Labour — a long carry, a flight of stairs or an item that has to be taken apart takes more crew time. And facility fees — mattresses and appliances containing refrigerant carry a charge set by the disposal site, not by us. We tell you when one of these applies before you agree to anything.
Hazardous material. We take most non-hazardous household and commercial items, but things like wet paint, solvents, chemicals, asbestos and medical waste have to go through a licensed hazardous-waste route instead. If you are not sure which category something falls into, ask us when you book and we will tell you straight.
